And the Goya Goes To - New Spanish Films introduces New York audiences to Spain’s most acclaimed new cinema. Fresh from the Goya® Awards, these films create a dynamic exchange between two leading film cultures, sparking collaboration and cross-cultural understanding.
About the Festival
The festival’s inaugural edition will showcase seven feature films recently selected and/or honored at the 2026 Goya Awards: the five nominees for Best Fiction Feature, along with the winners for Best Animated Feature and Best Documentary Feature. Each screening will feature Q&A sessions with filmmakers and distinguished industry professionals, creating meaningful opportunities for direct dialogue between artists and audiences. The program will be further enriched by industry panels and thought-provoking conversations designed to spark collaboration and offer deeper insight into the evolving landscape and most recent waves of Spanish cinema.
La primera edición del festival presentará siete largometrajes recientemente seleccionados o premiados por los Premios Goya 2026. Serán las cinco películas nominadas a Mejor Largometraje de Ficción, y las premiadas a Mejor Largo de Animación y Mejor Largo Documental. Cada proyección contará con sesiones de preguntas y respuestas con cineastas y profesionales invitados, fomentando el diálogo directo entre creadores y audiencia. El festival se complementa con paneles de industria y reflexión.
